Managing Director – Rex Barnes
Rex Barnes served and had a distinguished career in the Royal Marines from 1981 to 2012 where he was acknowledged as a leading exponent of amphibious warfare skills.
On leaving the Royal Marines he assumed responsibility as Acceptance Manager for BAE Systems Australia, delivering 2 x 27,500 tonne Landing Helicopter Docks from build to the Royal Australian Navy.
On return to UK in 2014 he moved into Defence Consultancy and delivered strategic and operational level training to NATO both at the Joint Warfare Centre and Joint Force Training Centre, as well as at component and Corps Headquarters level across Europe. He established and became Managing Director of GGR Training Limited in the summer of 2016.
Director – Major General D A Hook CBE Royal Marines (Retired)
Major General Hook enjoyed a distinguished career in the Royal Marines where he was privileged to command and lead on operations in every rank. His later career was characterized by lengthy operational deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan for which he was awarded a CBE and QCVS.
Since leaving the Royal Marines General Hook has enjoyed working in a US multi-national Defence Company, for a global security company and with Transparency International. He is currently Executive Vice-President of the GGR group of companies and a senior advisor to the security committee at Sellafield.
